Hello Friends,
It’s been a long, long, long time since I posted a ‘Monthly Dispatch’. In fact it’s been 9 months!
Those nine months have been a blur, so I’m going to focus on May! This ‘May’. 2026!
I had an exhilarating first Spring visit and walk on the beach in Wasaga. Even though the breeze was chilly, it was refreshing and soul lifting.
I could spend hours in a Farm Boy. The packaging alone makes my visual heart sing.
This photo is a ‘note to self’ for August. Our annual family reunion has a ‘Scotland’ theme this year.
My Mom was a big fan of Purity baked goods. Our kitchen counter normally had Jam Jams and Ginger Snaps open and emptying fast.
Can you imagine? Salsa made from fresh ingredients that might otherwise go to waste! Pretty Ugly!
My sweet Miss Vivian turned 4 years old on May 7th. In the last year she has been an angel here on Earth. A constant companion and healing shadow.
Oh Balm Beach. You have forever kidnapped me! (We stayed here.)
Georgian Grill, the beach, vintage cottage vibe, beautiful rocks (boulders really) and a quiet, laid back Great Lakes feeling. If you’re ever in the grill, look up above where you stand to order your ice cream and you’ll see my paintings of the Canadian and American flags.
I’m tempting you here. Fresh baked sour dough bread (crafted by Business Accountability Coach, Joann Prior) and marmalade. Le sigh.
I had a fun weekend in Orillia, ON.
Please don’t judge me. I’ve been sleeping with this Tiger stuffy for 8 months. It’s a symbol for healing, courage and thriving. I brought it to the hotel.
In Hindu mythology, the goddess Durga is often depicted riding a tiger, symbolizing her power, courage, and ability to conquer evil. The tiger represents the raw, untamed forces of nature that Durga controls and harnesses to protect the world from chaos and destruction.
Family owned and operated, I encourage you to explore the cedar lined balconies, creaky maple floors and magnificent tin tile ceiling of this grand 110 year old building that has been home to the Mariposa Market for 35 years and counting.
After so many years and incredible episodes, I watched (sobbed) the finale of Outlander.
Still 11 days left of May! It’s been a wonderful month so far.
Peace Love Create Art and Gather,
