A cake can save you on any day. Is there anything happier than cake? I think not. But another day in your life or my life we might (touch wood) need immediate emergency help. There is an urgency in many places around the world.

This cake was a nudge for you to visit the Red Cross website to learn more about how it serves humanity, here in Canada and around the world.

You can make this cake too!

I used a simple boxed chocolate cake mix.

Baked in a loaf pan. Half batter then a layer of raspberry jam. Top with other half of batter. Bake as per instructions on box. The jam may ooze out but it’s delish.

Icing is equal parts shortening, butter, icing sugar and raspberry jam.

You can help when help is most needed. Give to the Red Cross.
