Small weddings make my heart melt. They are typically filled with charming DIY elements and adorable personal touches! On a hot June day I was photographing a wonderful couple on the shores of Lake Ontario.
In the morning all the guests and wedding party helped out doing various things while the Bride reminded them ‘not to forget’ certain items to take over to the ceremony and reception venue.
Everything went without a hitch until it was time for the newlyweds to cut their cake!
Oh no! (Whispered the Bride) We forgot a knife.
Without thinking twice someone from the wedding party wandered over to a family of Muslims who were enjoying a picnic next to the pavilion.
Moments later a knife appeared and was placed on the dainty lace tablecloth beside the cake. The couple was able to cut the cake together and everyone gobbled up the delicious cake.
Nobody knew of the case of the missing knife, but the kindness of strangers made everything right.
This cake was absolutely gorgeous AND delicious! To me, this cake was extremely elegant and once cut into serving slices it became a symbol of love & happiness!
